Providing Quality SomnoMed Treatments

Our approved dentists are experienced in the fitting of SomnoMed devices for the treatment of snoring and Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) for patients in Australia.

SomnoMed device for the treatment of snoring & obstructive sleep apnea

We’ll conduct a thorough dental exam to assess your oral health status and ensure the SomnoMed device is appropriate for you.

Dental impressions and bite registrations are made and sent to SomnoMed where the customised mouth guard is made.

A followup appointment is then made where our dentist will fit the device and instruct you on how to fit and remove it yourself, as well as appropriate care and cleaning.

Why Wear a SomnoMed Device / SomnoMed Oral Appliance?

OSA can have a major flow on effect for your health. The poor sleep leaves you tired, and can also lead to weight gain, high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, diabetes and more.

Some of the signs that you may be suffering from Sleep Apnea include;

  •     Snoring
  •     Spouse recognises not breathing!
  •     Choking
  •     Frequent bathroom breaks at night
  •     Sleepiness during the day
  •     Lack of energy and falling asleep at work
  •     Poor concentration and memory
  •     Grinding and wear of teeth, increased decay rate and cracked teeth

SomnoDent is an oral appliance worn in the mouth during sleep to ensure a continuous open airway. The device is made up of two components made to fit over the upper and lower teeth. Because they are made to fit your teeth perfectly, they are simple to use and comfortable to wear.
